Services Routers, enabling support for a wide array of revenue-generating residential and business broadband services that can be offered in addition to the existing services already supported by these routers. Junos Soſtware is a modular, object-oriented and component-based operating system that is fundamentally different from legacy router operating systems, reducing the risks associated with the network upgrade process and simplifying complex operational tasks.
Subscriber Management for Junos incorporates extensive support for a comprehensive set of routing and subscriber management features, including support for both IPv4 and IPv6-based routing protocols. In fact, Subscriber Management for Junos offers a unique IPv4/IPv6 “dual-stack” capability that enables concurrent support for both protocols in order to ensure operational continuity and a smooth migration to future services. Subscriber Management for Junos, which is supported on the high-performance M120, M320 and MX Series platforms, reduces the cost and complexity of broadband service rollouts by enabling support for both business and residential broadband services from a single platform, and a single operating system. This convergence accelerates network monetization and improves operational efficiencies for wireline and wireless service providers alike.
