We have had an SA4000 running 5.5R1 for a long time, (years). The last few days the appliance is becoming unavailable/unpingable with this message being logged. What would the best course of action be to resolve, please?

I did find this feature;
"rewrite links in PDF files" at the role under <user role> > Web>
Options> view advanced options> (scroll to bottom for PDF rewrite
That check box is not check for me under the generic "user role."
Thanks for the reply though!

Meh... worth a shot. As an aside: Make sure you check all your roles, even if you think it doesn't apply. People tend to forget about options in other roles if they have "Merge" turned on in role mapping for the realm.
