    All,

     

    I was looking through the website for the 11.X long-term releases and I found something strange.

     

    11.4R2.14 is 188,180,082 MB
    11.4R4.4 is 99,194,571 MB

     

    That seems like an awfully big change. I was going to install the later release but was hesitant based on the above. I went through the release notes and nothing stood out.

     

    Does anyone know why there is a large discrepancy in the packages?

    There was an optimization in shared libraries. Doing that in a maintenance release was perhaps not wise, but there have been no reports of problems related to this.
