Can anyone help to anylaze the log captured below! fpc0 DCHIP(0/3): H/S link Tx12(1) overflow

log1,

I have no idea how serious the log belows are, I heard that this may be harmful to the harddisk, but how, and how serious.

log2

Is this a potential hardware failure, or just occationally occurs during port flaping?

Re: Can anyone help to anylaze the log captured below! fpc0 DCHIP(0/3): H/S link Tx12(1) overflow

I personally encountered these 2 similiar problems before:

1. What is the JUNOS version that you encountered? I encoutered this problem and killed the harddisk on RE (if my memory serves me right). It is kind of software bug and the answers are below.

PSN-2008-02-011
PR253775
KB11607 - Talk about adaptive period function on RE

2. Most probably this is a FPC1 error, however, you didn't posted out the error code from syslog.
Does it come out too often? There should have core-dumps been generated.

There are couple of shell mode command to capture LCHIP level information.
In fact, there is a KB19004 to guide you for troubleshooting steps.

While, recently, I encontered this log as well on our T640 routers.... more over, the device triggered this log quite frequently.... No impact has been found up to now.....   Any ideas will be warm welcomed....
