    Hi,

Currently we have an MX240 being tested in our lab for PPPoE test scenarios. We were success in configuring PPPoE using static configurations but the dynamic profiles kept failing with "No Resources" PPP response generated by the router.

From what we read in "Dynamic Profile for Subscriber Access" documentation, it seems that the dynamic profile setup needs Trio MPC/MIC installed on the router. In our lab configuration we only have an MPC-3D-16XGE-SFPP installed on the router, and in the "MPC for The MX Series" documentation this particular MPC is written without any Trio attributes on the list.

Does it mean that the MPC-3D-16XGE-SFPP is not a Trio MPC and therefore does not support the dynamic profile configuration?

    Hi,

The MPC-3D-16XGE is definitely a Trio PFE! Except that it's not optimized for services, but for forwarding. It was the initial release of the Trio PFE. What you usually want with Dynamic Profiles are H-QoS features. Those are not supported on this linecard as well.

Subscriber management is one of the features that is not supported on that linecard as well. It's a core-facing linecard and usually not used for subscriber interfaces.

Check the linecard guide for more details on supported features:
