  • 1.  Is it normal BGP flap during RE switchover?

    Hi all,

     

     

    One question, if i turn on GRES + NSR but BGP still flap during RE switchover, is it normal or not?

    Hello,

    What product? What JUNOS version?

    If session is negotiated with AFI/SAFI which is not supported by NSR then such session would reset.

    I'm also detect the fabric plane restart

    check for log messages and chassisd for something that points to fabric reload and bgp flap.

    If we on NSR and GRES with all address-family support bgp session not flap but when re0 failover to re1

    re0 will restart timer once you failback active re to re0 session timer less than re1 but you can check opposite BGP peer  bgp establish time was stable Smiley Tongue
