Hello team.

Customer of mine has a M7i without compact flash, and JUNOS 7.x

He would like to upgrade to 11.4, and according to the Release Notes, the router needs a 1GB compact flash that he hasn´t in its current router:

So the question is: ¿ can he upgrade directly to the hard disk without the compact flash?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I think the statement in the release-note assumes that every router has a CF (which is not true, as some M7i model where sold without), so I wouldn´t take this too literally or rephrase to ~"the media on which JUNOS 11.x is to be installed needs to be at least 1GB is size".

Thanks a lot for you answer.

This router has a 20 Gbytes disk on which the current JUNOS is installed . ¿ So is it safe to say that we will be able to migrate without the need of that compact flash?
