Does anyone know if MX-MPC2-3D-R-B is equivalent of Low Queue, Medium Queue or High Queue in Cisco world (refer to table 2 on http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/routers/ps9853/data_sheet_c78-501338.html)?

I mean, what MPC version (MX-MPC2-3D-R-B or MX-MPC2-3D-Q-R-B) should I buy to get performance not worse than the one I get with ASR line card in Medium Queue version? Is MX-MPC2-3D-R-B enough or I should use Q version?

    Best regards,

    Artur

    Hi,

The MX-MPC2-3D-R-B has 8 queue per port and it's equivalent to Cisco's "Low Queue".

Regarding your question, you should use the Q version (MX-MPC2-3D-Q-R-B) that has 128K egress queues and 128K ingres and is equivalent to "Medium Queue".

The MX-MPC2-EQ has 512K queues that are shared between ingress and egress(the best approach btw).
