     What exactly do you mean by "1.1.12 doesn't exist" ? Would you please give a bit more detail as to what your question is, along with topology information and configuration?

    ge-0/0/0 is multiaccess interface so if you look at:

    run show route forwarding-table destination 2.2.2.0/24

    you will see the "rslv" type for this destination(emty next-hop) - that means that any packet matching 2.2.20/24 require additional "resolution" lookup through ARP. In your case nobody will reply to this arp request, so communication is broken(as expected).
