pc-x/x/x interface configuration [ Edited ]

Hi,

I just insert retrun PIC (PE-4GE-TYPE1-SFP-IQ2) at lab m7i and has pc-0/3/0 interface.

Try to delete pc-x/x/x interface but cannot.

how to erase pc-x/x/x interface?

Hi pynoc,

It is an interface that is associated with each installed IQ2 type PIC.  It is required and it cannot be deleted so please don't try :-)  Just ignore it.  It should be there.

I am trying to take CoS advantage with IQ2 PIC.

Also I want to see more product detail with PE and PB 8 port.

Hi pynoc,

Pure product information on IQ2 PICs can be found at http://www.juniper.net/products/modules/100163.pdf.

CoS information is available in the class-of-service section of our online documentation.  IQ2 PICs have some particular extra functionality not available on other PICs (e.g. hierarchical shapers) while having certain limitations (only one high priority queue) so you need to look carefully when deciding on IQ2 PICs.  They also have oversubscription within individual PICs.

Hi Shiv,

No, the pc interface is not usable at all.

It is just an 'internal' interface, used by Juniper router for booting/managing IQ PICs.

It is automatically created and used as soon as you bring online an IQ PIC, but cannot be configured and should not be touched.

Hierarchical shaping is configured (on interfaces which support it) referring directly to ge-x/y/z
