Also

root@srx240# set interfaces pp0 unit 0 ppp-options chap local-name 027123456@BLABLA
error: invalid value: 027123456@BLABLA

Isn't accepted

or

root@srx240# set interfaces pp0 unit 0 ppp-options chap local-name "027123456@BLABLA"
error: RFC2486 compliance: realm must contain two subdomain components

Re: CHAP in JunOS 10.1R1.8

Hi Raheel,

This was working with the JUNOS 10.0R2.10

With the upgrade to 10.1R1.8 this doesn't work anymore :smileysad:

Re: CHAP in JunOS 10.1R1.8

That would be a downgrade, not an upgrade :smileyhappy:

Were you having issues in R2.10 that required the downgrade?

Re: CHAP in JunOS 10.1R1.8

I will check local bug-database, if there is any known issue already, however if it is working with 10.0R2.10 then it should be ok?

any specific reason of downgrading version?

thanks

raheel

Going from JunOS 10.0.x to 10.1.x is not an upgrade ? :smileyhappy:

Re: CHAP in JunOS 10.1R1.8

Hi Raheel,

I was browsing the forums, and found this topic, and I'm faced with this same scenario. I upgraded the SRX-210 to Junos 10.1R1.8 and I'm not able to configure the same chap username as before. The software is not accepting the username, and the pppoe interface is not coming up. Can you please advise if you have a solution to this problem. Thanks.
