  • 1.  Dell SRX210 reset root password

    PROBLEM:

    I am trying to issue boot -s after press spacebar when loading but got error

    => boot -s

    Usage:
    boot - boot default, i.e., run 'bootcmd'

     

    INFO:

    > show version
    Hostname: srx1
    Model: Dell J-SRX210H-POE
    JUNOS Software Release [10.3R2.11]

     

    QUESTION:

    1. which steps I miss here

    Hello

     

    From the output you pasted, it appears that you are trying to reset passpword at U-boot prompt( => )

    Password recovery has to be done at loader prompt( Loader> ).

     

    Press space bar after U-boot is loaded.

    (Basically you would be asked to press space bar twice, first time to get into U-Boot, second time to get into Loader)
