  • 1.  Does Juniper support UPNP or NAT-PMP ?

    Posted 08-31-2016 19:19

    Hi,

We have a client that uses apple devices in their business and a lot of their networking between apps uses universal plug and play (upnp) or NAT-PMP.

I know juniper doesn't support upnp, but does it support NAT-PMP ?

I have found an article suggesting they might:

    http://signatures.juniper.net/documentation/applications/Infrastructure%3ANetworking%3ANAT-PMP.html

Anyone got any idea how to configure NAT-PMP ?

To be honest, using dynamic dns may be the only work around as their ISP provides a dynamic IP address.

    Thanks,

    Andy

Juniper and most commercial grade firewalls do not support it. However the NAT-PMP is supported bis Named differently- You would use STUN protocol and persistent-nat.

     junos-stun and junos-persistent-nat
