Hi All,
If we have an SRX3K with dual control links is it still recommended to add [set chassis cluster control-link-recovery]?
There is no reason why not to have it, it will base the decision on 30 consecutive heartbeats received on either of the control links(to ensure the link is healthy) before restarting the disabled node
I guess my problem here is why does the secondary need to restart at all if I have two links. I understand the benefit when only one control links exists but since I had two was there really a need to reboot Node 1 if only one of the control links went down?
For dual control links theJuniper Services Redundancy Protocol process (jsrpd) sends and receives the heartbeat messages on both control links. As long as heartbeats are received on one link, the node is considered to be alive.
Are you saying you had to reboot the node with one control link failure?
If so there is a known issue out there: http://kb.juniper.net/InfoCenter/index?page=content&id=KB21521
Nope this was just in theory. You answerd my question Thanks!
