  • 1.  Error: No route to host

    We have just went through new SRX240H configuration. Static route set as followss:

     

    set routing-options static route 0.0.0.0/0 next-hop <publicIP on ge-0/0/0.0>

     

    Private Ip is on ge-0/0/15.0

     

    Can ping internally.

    When we ping 8.8.8.8 we get No Route to host error.

    Nothing is getting out

     

    Any suggestion?

    Hello ,

     

    Route should point to next hope as the next hope device IP , not SRX Interface/Untrust IP .

     

    set routing-options static route 0.0.0.0/0 next-hop <next-hopr device IP >

    Hello ,

     

    Once you configure the route with next hope IP address , please check if we have the active route in the routing table :

     

    > Show route 8.8.8.8

    Yeap, my mistake the next hop is as sugested the XXX.XXX.XXX.1 IP on the next ISP device.

    Now the traffic is getting out fine....
