  • 1.  FQDN for IKE gateway address issue

    Hello all,

     

    I am trying to configure some vpns using an FQDN for the gateway address, but when I do, it does a lookup and replaces it with the IP address, very undesireable, and completely defeats the purpose of using a FQDN.

     

    Any thoughts?

    So I got an answer from my SE that this doesn't work currently, and does lookup on configuration.

     

    They are working to add DDNS to the Junos package and should be part of that.  (Current 11.4)

    Can you ask your SE when DDNS will be available? It is not part of the 11.4 release.

    There is no firm date, but his expectation was possibly 12.1 or 12.2 as the demand for it is growing

    I'm using SRX100H2 with software release 12.1X44-D40.2. Still have this issue, no DDNS supported when you configure a FQDN as a IKE remote gateway.
