SRX

I would just like some clarification here... when I set a nat rule on my SRX100 will the SRX reply using that same IP address from the incoming traffic?

For instance:

Incoming from 134.215.205.146 NAT to 192.168.1.5.

But the SRX Outbound interface is 69.128.76.251

Does the outbound traffic come from 134.215.205.146? Or does it come from the default gateway IP of 69.128.76.251? I'm assuming the SRX automatically replies from the NAT IP.

That depends entirely on how you set up your NAT configuration.

For interface-based NAT, it will use the IP of the egress interface.

For pool-based NAT, it will use the IP that you assign from the pool, regardless of interface IP.
