Interface monitoring status down on SRX chassis cluster Node 1

[ Edited ]

Hi,

2*SRX5600 is in a cluster.

Node 0 is primary & node 1 is secondary.

In node 1 RG1 interface status shows down, any suggestion what would be an issue.

The show chassis cluster output from Node 1 is as shown below.

>show chassis cluster interfaces
Control link status: Up

Control interfaces:
Index Interface Status
0 em0 Up
1 em1 Up

Fabric link status: Up

Fabric interfaces:
Name Child-interface Status
fab0 xe-10/3/0 Up
fab0 xe-11/3/0 Up
fab1 xe-22/3/0 Up
fab1 xe-23/3/0 Up

Interface Monitoring:
Interface Weight Status Redundancy-group
xe-23/1/0 255 Down 1
xe-23/0/0 255 Down 1
xe-11/1/0 255 Down 1
xe-11/0/0 255 Down 1

Any advice please.

Thanks,

Ahmed

Re: Interface monitoring status down on SRX chassis cluster Node 1

Could you please check the physical connections for these interfaces and also share the monitoring related config from SRX

show | display set | match monitor

show chassis cluster dataplane (i think thats the command) if it shows connected do the same for the fabric interface and then check cabling.

or show interfaces (name) and check to see if its showing connecting.

So there is no IP Monitoring , did you try to verify the physical connections for these interfaces.

Hi Ahmed,

Kindly update as how the control links are connected ?

Are they connected back to back directly without any switch?
