J series and SRX series burst size shaping

Hi all,

Is there someone out there who can explain on how the burst size is calculated for an interface that has got shaping-rate configured?

For example:

set class-of-service interfaces fe-0/0/1 unit 0 scheduler-map sm-6q
set class-of-service interfaces fe-0/0/1 unit 0 shaping-rate 2m

How much burst can traffic flowing out of fe-0/0/1.0 have?

How is this calculated?

Hi Mohamed,

I checked the link that you gave me, but I think that is only for policer.

I am interested in shaper's burst capability, in a config shown on my original post.
