I've seen similar issues before due to a full file system.  Try cleaning up temporary files and/or deleting the install file for JunOS 10 once it's installed.  A reboot of the box might also be helpful.

I have the same problem (srx210h) and my flash storage is only at 20%, so it's not a problem with full storage. It happened when I downgraded from 10R1.8 to 9.6R1.13. Which I did because 10 gave me too many issues with the JWeb interface, ironically.

I reupdated to 10R1.8 and now I often get a control-cpu locked to 100% (the device has practically no traffic).

It often give me some of the following errors on JWeb :

    1. Access Error: 404 -- Not Found (configure)

    2. Data failed to initialize (dashboard)

    3. Data request failed status: 503 (dashboard log window)

    4. Your session has expired (with only a few second of inactivity)

    5. chassis view doesn't work and is blank

This is intermitent, but I see a corellation with the CPU at 100% when a problem happens.

The only thing that is constant is the chassis view which never displays anything.

Sorry, please disregard my point #5, my the problem with chassis view is unrelated, just a coincidence, the chassis view doesn't work with the lastest Flash-10 on linux 64bits, but it works fine in windows.

--EDIT--: I did a LOT of tests today, and I never managed to reproduce the bug. Here's a wild guess : it could be some stale previous data that eventually got flushed out, but I am completely unable to produce it again. I did click on the automatic files cleanup again, so considering that it deletes files older than 2 days, it might have deleted the data causing the problem, which would now be older than 2 days.

Is everyone else finding that the problem is just "going away" on it's own?

Had the dashboard issue after upgrading from 9.5 to 10.0R1.8 on an SRX650.  I cleared the browser cache and it fixed the problem.  I tested it on both IE and Firefox.

This fix worked for me. Safari 4 - flushed cache and all is happy now...

I managed to reproduce the problem :

    1. I had uploaded 9.6R2 on it, while it was running 10R1

    2. I "downgraded" back to 10R1 from the JWeb interface

    3. I got the "failed to init data" error after the reboot

I'm not fully sure about this, but the problem seem to be related to page refresh (FF3.0, linux x64) also. If I clear the cache and then use ONLY the interface button, it works fine, until I click a button while it is fetching data or I click the browser's refresh button, or any navigation buttons that are from the browser, and not the JWeb interface.

Having the same problem after upgrading our SRX240 to 10.0R2.10.  I've ran the "request system software delete-backup" command, cleared the cache/cookies on IE8 and Firefox 3.56 and we're still having the problem.  Right upon GUI login we get the "Data failed to initialize" and then a popup saying "Your Session has expired.  Click OK to redirect to login page." message.

One thing we found out is if we use the locally configured account on the SRX240, we can login and administer just fine.  We only see this problem when we use our TACACS+ accounts.

    Hi riccobene,

In your case this should be the caused by issue PR482132 (JWeb shows "Your Session has expired. Click OK to redirect to login page" when logging in using Radius or Tacacs).

This issue is already fixed in 10.1R1 and it will be fixed in 10.0R3 as well.

    Regards,

    Casper
