SRX

Say I have two SRX whatevers in a cluster spanning two physical locations. They connect to each-other via fiber, VPLS or whatever gives them L2-connectivity.

I want to BGP announce the same public IP addresses on both devices.

How would I do this? Put a physical interface of both devices into a RETH? If I use local interfaces, as I understand it, I won't be able to put it into a RG and failover seamlessly.

Could I use active/active in this scenario or only active/passive?

If one device goes down the other one should be aware of the sessions of the other.

Does it make sense?

When you say 'I want to BGP announce the same public IP addresses on both devices.", whats the IP address on the remote end device, do we have 2 ISP links to each node?
