SRX

Hi guys,

I am a bit confused aboud the new JunOS 17.3 for SRX-devices.

I was always thinking, that software for SRX-devices always run on "X"-Firmware.

So, which file is to choose if I want to upgrade.

Should I stay on 15.X49-Path or should I move to 17.3 ?

Over the last year Juniper has been slowing merging all the x versions across platforms back into the main branch.  So for your SRX version you are seeing that here.

You can run either that you prefer.

There is a document from JTAC with recommendations per platform here.

This will never have the most recent version as they wait for experience on calls before advancing the recommendation.  This is the version that JTAC considers most stable per platform.

The other typical driver is feature needs.  You can see these on the new features listing in the release notes.  Or you can compare Junos versions by platform here to see the differences.
