  • 1.  L2TP connection on SRX210

    Hello, 

     

    Till now my SRX210HE connected to internet via PPPoE connection . And I choose to move from ADSL infrastructure to L2TP cable infrastructure .

     

    Does anybody knows how to configure SRX210 with Junos 12.1X46 firmware its connection as L2TP/PPTP ?

    SRX does not support L2TP/PPTP only pass through.

    Just to add to what thynard said, here is the link that says L2TP over IPSec is not supported on SRX & J Series devices.

    From what i know.. srx connot act as l2tp server .. are you sure that it connot act as l2tp client ?

    Hello,

     

    Yes. SRX can not act as L2TP Client.

     

    Basically L2TP clients are end users or host machines.

     

    When using L2TP over IPSec, client subjects actual payload to be encapsulated by PPP, L2TP, UDP & then finally ESP header.

     

    L2TP servers are firewalls/routers who receive ESP packets, decrypt the packets & then send them towards LAN for further processing.

    But Juniper SRX devices can not act as a L2TP over IPSec end point.

    I also have another one question :
    Does SRX support iphone SSLVPN ?
    because im succeeding to connect via windows but not via iphone . I haven't try via android .

    Dynamic VPN feature (either Pulse Secure or Juniper Access Manager) is not supported on ipad/iphone as per the link below:

    How I can open essentials port to pass through L2TP traffic to RRAS server. Can you share the configuration should I apply to SRX?
