  • 1.  LLDP over st0.0 is it possible

    I have SRX240 HUB, with about 14 SRX-100's SPOKE, and have tried to make the LLDP show from the 240 to the 100's.

     

    When I show neighbors, it only shows the local equipment, not the remote sites.

     

    Any way to make them show up.?

    Hi,

     

    LLDP being L2 protocol, I don't think it can be tunnelled over IPSec.

    LLDP is supported only on physical interfaces and we cannot configure this on st0. You may get an error as below.

     

    root@SRX# commit
    [edit protocols]
    'lldp'
    Invalid interface name. LLDP operates only on physical interfaces
    error: configuration check-out failed
