  • 1.  Maximum number of CoS Virtual Channels on SRX

Is there a limit for maximum number of CoS Virtual Channels that can be used on an interface (ie. maximum number of virtual channels in one Virtual Channel Group or total number of virtual channels per system etc.)?

I am planning for quite a lot of them, and not sure if it will be possible...

    Hi Pawel,

    It depends on the hardware.

Is this a branch SRX or high end SRX?

What version of JUNOS are you running and if you are planning to run it on st0 interfaces or normal interfaces?

    Hi,

    Branch SRX - SRX345.

I am planning to run the leatest possible -15.1X49-D60 as for now.

Can you apply VC group to st0 interface now? I thought that was not possible to apply QoS to secure tunnel interfaces. I have seen some changes on this issue in X49, but I have not checked it so far - so I planned to run it on "normal" interfaces.

    Hi Pawel,

In SRX345, VCs are supported from Junos OS 15.1X49-D35 onwards.
On SRX345, each Virtual channel group can include maximum 1024 VCs and total VCs cannot exceed maximum queue set number of 2048.

Support of VCs on st0 will be introduced in upcoming releases.
