[ Edited ]

you are not getting loader prompt ...

wait and press spacebar only when you get this

Hit [Enter] to boot immediately, or space bar for command prompt.

Hafiz, we get that prompt and get this far....

We get the following errors:

root> configure
warning: Clustering enabled; using private edit
error: shared configuration database modified
Please temporarily use 'configure shared' to commit
outstanding changes in the shared database, exit,
and return to configuration mode using 'configure'
============================================
root# set system root-authentication plain-text-password
New password:
Retype new password:
{hold:node0}[edit]
root#
============================================
root# commit
warning: error reading /var/db/feature.db: expecting 828 bytes, version 68 andread 768 and version 63
[edit interfaces fe-0/0/1 unit 0]
  'family'
    Ethernet-switching family not supported in HA mode for srx100b platform
error: configuration check-out failed
We cant save the config due to clustering i believe (please correct me if im wrong)? We're unfortunately with the secondary of the two therefore can't make any changes to the config? If so, how do we do this...?

Re: Password Recovery - SRX100B

Under configuration "shared" option delete the interface that has been configured for HA

juniper#delete interfaces fe-0/0/1

juniper#commit

This should now let you change the root-password

juniper# set system root-authentication plain-text-password
New password:
Retype new password:
{hold:node0}[edit]
juniper#commit
This should do the trick.
