  • 1.  SRX-100 on PPPoE with Windstream

    So, I finally get our static IP and the Windstream DSL router set to Bridged mode.

    Then today, they tell me we need to use PPPoE in order to be able to get to the SRX on the public IP.

     

    So looking at what Windstream gave us, was a user name and password.

    But looking at the example for configuration, it has two passwords.

    I am not sure what to use in this case.

     

    default-password "wxyz"; ## SECRET-DATA
    local-name "user@service.com";
    local-password "wxyz"; ## SECRET-DATA

     

    Any help is appreciated.

    Hello ,

     

    Local Password is the password sent in PAP request packet .

    Default password is the  PAP password  used in the absence of matching profile .

     

    So here we need to use the loack password . We can configure the same for both also .
