SRX 1400 Firewall packets per second (64 bytes) value (in MPPS)

Hi All,

 

I'm trying to figure out the exact value of the Firewall packets per second (64 bytes)(in MPPS) for the SRX 1400

 

pls help,

Hi Mamoon,

 

I would recommand contacting Juniper or a VAR as I've heard they're able to provide more performance statistics than what's listed on the website.

For SRX1400, the performance numbers are same as of SRX3400 using 1 SPC and 1 NPC;

 

1.15 Mpps for 64 bytes.

1.08 Mpps for 512 bytes

0.82 Mpps for  1514 bytes

 

This is based on 10.4R1.

I am guessing that is for UDP traffic, as TCP performance usually favors "full-sized" packets over small packets?

That is correct. It is for UDP.
