In most of the cases reinstall of Junos had fixed the problem.

If reinstall is not helping then open a TAC case and you might need to do RMA.

    Hi ,

It looks like the file system of junos is corrupted.
Make sure you upgrade the srx device using TFTP process mentioned in link http://www.juniper.net/techpubs/software/junos-security/junos-security10.2/junos-security-admin-guide/section-srx-series-tftp-loader.html
The upgrade from operational mode does not help in this case because it does not format the
internal media completely while the TFTP processs formats the internal media completely and install the software image.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi ,

Can you let me know if you still witness the socket error message or the device halts at the loader prompt?

In case you still witness the socket error message, open a case with JTAC to RMA the device.

    Hope this helps.

evConnect can be ignore as mentioned in M/MX series release notes
    http://www.juniper.net/techpubs/en_US/junos9.4/information-products/topic-collections/release-notes/9.4/topic-26594.html

Moreover, dfwd is a firewire process related to firewall filters. dfwd connection failure with evconnect indicates any probable malfunctioning of internal connections and filesystem ...

so, you will have to make another reinstallation attempt with latest recommended release 10.4R10.7 with install --format option.
