Many of my clients who has SRX 240 with IDP feature set wanted to know wether the Internet Download Manager (IDM)application could be stopped reaching out to downloads.. the IDM eats up massive amount bandwidth and brings the internet speeds crawling at many of my customer networks, would much appreciate if any body could let me know if custom signatures could be created on the SRX 240 IDP feature set to block the IDM and other download managers reaching out to the internet.. (the reach via port 80 as well on a proxy).
Any help would be greatly appreciates... Also please have a look at the Rough Aware by Akonix a P2P and a IM sniffer might come in handy.
