  • 1.  SRX Cluster to Cisco switch stack config for resilience

    Hello,

Wondering if you could help. We have a situtation where we need to connect our SRX cluster to two cisco switches (which may or may not be stacked - still awaiting more information from the supplier).

Just trying to get some ideas on how best to go about connecting them up to keep as much resilience as possible ? I thought about created a LAG port from each switch to a some kind of LAG port for the reth of the firewall cluster ?

    I'm open to some ideas!

    Many Thanks!

Assuming you have an Active/Passive SRX cluster, take a look at the Full Mesh Chassis Cluster starting on page 18 of the high availability guide.  This shows EX switches but you can use Cisco as well.  You will be using two Reth interfaces on the SRX side which operate as A/P links for the SRX to see both switches.

The Active/Active design follows this one.
