Appreciate if some one could please help. I am setting up 2 srx 240 in Clustering mode. Which ports do I need to connect on both units for control and fabric ports.

From docs there is bit of confusion, some docs say gi1/0/0 on one unit 0 to gi1/0/5 on unit 1 and some say gi1/0/0 to gi1/0/0.

Also do ineed crossover cable or straight through for connecting the devices. Or is it recommended to use the switched network with separate vlans for fabric and control links.

    Regards

    Hi Tasee,

There is a well documented KB on chassis clustering for SRX 240, please refer:

To answer your question straight: ge-0/0/0 is used for management purpose, ge-0/0/1 is used for control link (it is recommended that you connect them directly than using a switch)

Fabric port can be any port other than ge-0/0/0 and ge-0/0/1, you could use straight cable.
