  • 1.  SRX License Question

    Dear all

     

    I am going to purchase Juniper SRX 650 series with IDP and IPS features.

    I want to know about licensing that we need.

     

    I think we need the below Part Number:

     

    SRX650-IDP

    One year license for IDP updates

     

    But I doubt about below license:

     

    SRX650-APPSEC-A-1

    1-year subscription for AppSecure and IPS updates for SRX650

     

    Do I need to purchase both the license or just the first one? I don’t need AppTrack and AppFW, I just need IDP and IPS.

    If we need to purchase both, please let me know what’s the difference between IDP update and IPS Update.

    Hi

     

    IDP is the same as IPS in this context. You don't need to buy both.

     

    If you buy SRX650-IDP, you get IDP/IPS only.

     

    If you buy SRX650-APPSEC-A-1, you get AppSecure and IDP/IPS.
