SRX100 with AX411

Hello guys!

All the sales literature and even your latest "Junos Security" (http://www.amazon.com/Junos-Security-Rob-Cameron/dp/1449381715/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1304146072&sr=... book say that the SRX100 supports up to two AX411.

Is that the case in Junos 10.4?

We really need this support...

Hi Nicolas,

According to the following datasheet http://www.juniper.net/us/en/local/pdf/datasheets/1000281-en.pdf  (from March 2011) you can have up to 4 AX411 on your SRX100 with Junos 10.4

So i would assume that, like every other SRX, you have integrated to the Junos software a license for 2 APs

AX411 Access Point Hierarchy

• On SRX100 devices, there are CLI commands for wireless LAN configurations related to the AX411 Access Point. However, at this time, the SRX100 devices do not support the AX411 Access Point.

What i find quite unclear is if AX411 was supported on the SRX100 in 10.4 and not yet supported in 11.1

Or if it was never supported

I think both references you cite are accurate:

1) SRX100 _will_ support up to 4 AP's

2) Support for AX411 is, per the datasheet a "1H10" item (which would imply Junos 11.2 given that it's not in 11.1) (edited typo of 2H10)

We'll use the KB I mentioned to serve as notification for any updates.

Following is the list of maximum number of supported APs wtih different SRX platforms.

SRX100-2 access points

SRX210-4 access points

SRX220-4 access points

SRX240-4 access points

SRX650-4 access points

Ax-411 support on SRX branch is limited to maximum of 4 APs, except SRX 100 which supports 2 APs (by default and no license is required). SRX 210, 220, 240, and 650 supports 4 APs (2 by default + 2 with license)

This document http://www.juniper.net/us/en/local/pdf/datasheets/1000281-en.pdf  has mistake as it says maximum number  of supported APs for all the branch platforms is 4, which definitely isn't correct. i have a document PR opened to get it fixed.
