  • 1.  SRX210 2 WAN BASE-T ports

    Hello,

    Regarding SRX210 service gateway, i see in the data sheet that this appliance has 2 10/100/1000 and 6 10/100 BASE-T RJ45 ports.

    If i have two WAN providers and i need to use two of the 8 ports (2+6), my question can i use the two 10/100/1000 ports as Layer-3 WAN ports and assign each interface one for untrust and the other for example untrust2.

    Port 1 (10/100/1000) to the provider1 and assign an IP address for this interface and Port 2 (10/100/1000) to the provider2 and assign an IP address for this interface ?

     

    And also do the 6 ports (10/100) can be Layer-2 ports only?

    Hi Abood,

     

    Yes, absolutely - you can use any port on an SRX210 to be L2 or L3 - it is very flexible.
