SRX5800 - Cluster Control link down

Dear All,

I have a Firewalls cluster based on two srx5800 with two control links (em0, em1) between SPCs. one of control link (em0) is down and i want to troubleshoot. question is how can i see the detail os sfp installed on SPC ports. They do not appear in 'show chassis hardware' and 'show interface em1 extensive' output.

One weird think i notices, 'show inter em1 terse' output says interface is UP UP but output of 'show chassis cluster interfaces' shows em1 is down. below is configuration and show outputs

#show chassis cluster
reth-count 2;
control-ports {
    fpc 9 port 0;
    fpc 21 port 0;
    fpc 9 port 1;
    fpc 21 port 1;
}

#show interfaces em1 terse
Interface               Admin Link Proto    Local                 Remote
em1                     up    up
em1.0                   up    up   inet     129.16.0.1/2
                                   tnp      0x1100004

#show chassis cluster interfaces

Control link status: Up

Control interfaces:
    Index   Interface        Status
    0       em0              Up
    1       em1              Down

#show chassis cluster control-plane statistics

Control link statistics:
    Control link 0:
        Heartbeat packets sent: 177846
        Heartbeat packets received: 177830
        Heartbeat packet errors: 0
    Control link 1:
        Heartbeat packets sent: 177846
        Heartbeat packets received: 0
        Heartbeat packet errors: 0

Thanks

Re: SRX5800 - Cluster Control link down

It could be related to non compatible SFP transcievers:

Re: SRX5800 - Cluster Control link down

You could try "show interface optics diagnostics".... never tried it for a control link though.
