  • 1.  Specifying Multiple VPN Peers under IKE Gateway Stanza

    Hi all,

     

    I refer to the following link :

    Can I please ask what the fallback mechanism is to be expected. Say for example the first gateway in the list dies, VPN is then established to second one down in list, BUT what happens when the first one comes back UP again?.

    Hi Ajaz,

     

    There is no fallback, so after the failover to the second peer, that one will stay active irrespective if the original one recovered already or not.

    Would I therefore be correct is saying that when failover occurs, if second vpn then fails, then SRX will try to go back to first gateway again?

    Yes exactly. On failure it will then failover again.
