Yes your understanding seems to be correct.

As values: 31668, 31754 are specific to particular SPC.

To get total number of sessions/second for the the whole system, you need to sum it up.

    Hi Sir,

As follows, does that mean ,the New sessions/second is 31668+31754=63422 ? Thans!

<Deepak>No, your understanding of session calculation is not correct here..

The reason is FPC1 is CP and FPC2 is SPC. So basically first parth session created on CP and CP will send to SPC via round robin fashion.

If you really want to monitor session/sec on SPC, please execute the belwo command.

root@TCG> show security monitoring performance session.

This command will show you the real time data of session ramp up rate on SPC card.

    Hi Sir,

    Apologize for confusion.

You are correct to caclulate the flow sessin per second in you first post.

Actually 3600 FPC 1 (it is combo mode CP+SPC) so flow session creats on both FPC 1 and FPC2.

So New sessio per second rate is  31668+31754=63422

Can lower SPU utilization if use hash-based session distribution ?

    I see  http://www.juniper.net/techpubs/en_US/junos12.1x45/topics/concept/security-load-distribution-understanding.html

In hash-based session distribution, the weights are based on session capacity. The weighted hash session distribution mode is recommended when high session capacity is required.

    Thanks!
