Re: Using Dynamic VPN on Mac OS X

Presently dynamic VPN client is not supported on MAC OSX. Check with your Juniper sales rep for roadmap for future support for JUNOS Pulse client.

Re: Using Dynamic VPN on Mac OS X

This may no longer be true. Equinux has an app called VPN Tracker (paid) which works with SRX.

Re: Using Dynamic VPN on Mac OS X

I suggest you use the NCP Mac client. NCP makes the Windows Juniper edition IPsec VPN clients. The NCP VPN client exists for all platforms and supports both ScreenOS and Junos platforms. You find more info here: http://www.ncp-e.com

Re: Using Dynamic VPN on Mac OS X

Hi

According to the Juniper Pulse Download site, there are three supported platforms.

Junos Pulse Bulk 32 Bit Installer MSI
Junos Pulse Bulk 64 Bit Installer MSI
Junos Pulse Mac OS X Edition

You may need to install the MAC client manually.  And, no I have not tried it.

I hope this helps.

Re: Using Dynamic VPN on Mac OS X

Dynamic VPN is not supported on Mac. http://kb.juniper.net/InfoCenter/index?page=content&id=KB17436&cat=IPSEC&actp=LIST&smlogin=true The Dynamic VPN feature (Pulse or Juniper Access Manager) is not supported on the following Operating Systems: Linux Macintosh Desktop Systems including Pulse 3.0 (refer to kb23960JUNOS Pulse 3.0 installed on a Mac OS X system fails to connect to an SRX ) Windows Server iPad/iPhone Android OS http://kb.juniper.net/InfoCenter/index?page=content&id=kb23960 Junos Pulse 3.0 adds support for use on Macintosh platforms to connect to SSL-VPN gateways. However, Junos Pulse 3.0 for the Macintosh platform does not currently support connections to SRX. As of the writing of this article, the following clients are supported for Dynamic-VPN connections on SRX: Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit) Windows XP (32-bit and 64-bit) The Junos Access Manager Dynamic VPN client is supported on the following Operating Systems (platforms): Windows XP 32-bit and 64-bit with any service pack Windows Vista 32-bit and 64-bit with any service pack Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit with any service pack (Junos 10.4 and above only)

Re: Using Dynamic VPN on Mac OS X

I am not a Juniper expert.  I have been working a while on getting a Linux client connecting to an SRX using StrongSwan as the remote access client.  I was able to get it working as a static point to point tunnel using a PSK.  I was told by Juniper that dynamic VPN's outside of their own client were not supported.  I have made some progress, but it seems that not many people are working on this type of setup.  I was also advised that Juniper was working on clients other than Windows to include Linux with no time frame for release of even a beta version.  You may want to try StrongSwan.
