  • 1.  Why i can not player mms rstp meida through srx240h?

    i just put the new srx on my network, everything is fine except stream media cannot be played.

     

    srx is new for me , search the docs ,i find alg apps maybe fix this problem , but i cannot sure about it  . anyone give me some advise ,thanks.

     

    my srx version 10.0r3.10

    I had some problems with the RSTP ALG in 10.0R3 as well, I had to disable it for streams to work:


    set security alg rtsp disable

    commit

     

    This seems to be fixed in 10.2R2 - but that has other issues 🙂

    Hello, i have a question about your issue, by default all ALG services are enable, aren´t? have you tried the command that suggested to you (set security alg rtsp disable) and your service is working well?

    TIP:

    Disable ALL of the ALGs unless you have read the implementation information for them as about half of them block there respective traffic type if they have not been configured.

     

    Some examples of sideeffects:

     

    - Random DNS failure (DNS ALG)

    - Cisco IP phones fail to register (SIP ALG)

    - Tandberg Video conference devices fail to connect (H323 ALG)

     

    They are useful if you use them right, but by default if you haven't researched and configured them they will cause you problems.
