  • 1.  diagnostic port on a SRX or EX ?

    Hello,

     

       In a CIS paper titled:  CIS Juniper JunOS Benchmark v1.0.1, in section 6.5 it references setting authentication on the "Diagnostic port".   The command is available on my SRX, but what port is that referring to?  I thought it might be the Console port, but I set the diag-authentication, and .... nothing.   Is that port not-applicable for the SRX 220's and 240's?

    You will only find these diagnostic ports on the bigger systems, these ports are located on the controlboards of the systems, and are intended to be used by J engineers or on advice of JTAC only.

    To use the port you need physical access to the box

     

     

    The SRX branch series boxed do not have diagnostic port on the board.
