    Yes this is safe to run and you do not need to restart, provided you are happy to not have any historical logs available.

    Hi,

     

    thank you all guys for your support,

     

    but the first answer said that I have to restart and the second answer said no restart is required.

     

    please clarify this point as my SRX3400 is in production network and I don't want to reboot it.

    This command delete files placed in /var/tmp, /var/log and /var/sw and /var/crash directories. Deleting files in these directories has no adverse effects on system health and re start is not required. You can use "request system storage cleanup dry-run" subject to conformation "dry-run" supported on High End SRX and your Junos version .
