srx 240 hangs on initial setup

Hey All,

I have a backup srx240 as testing propose. I have hard reset the srx to factory setting and try to perform the initial setup, but the web interface keeps on hanging at the initial setup with the first screen "Fetching setup configuration ... Please wait"

reset again wont help, access via CONSOLE run without any issue

any one any idea about this?

SRX is running version 10.4R6.5

Hi

How are you doing the hard reset? If you did not try "request system zeroize" from console,

may be a good time to try.

Having the same issue.  I need to setup the SRX 210 offline but it freezes at Fetching setup configuration.

Do I need to be online to download something?

Its a know issue in 10.4R6 ,  only option is to use console and delete "delete system autoinstallation delete-upon-commit" to use normal J-web. I think issue is fixed in 10.4R7 and latest.

- i tried a hard reset, but without luck

- try delete system autinstallation delete-upon-commit doesnt help either...

update to 11.4r1.6 solved the problem, but not my preferences...

I've got a J2320 exhibiting the identical behaviour after a CF recovery procedure (the 11.2R3.3 recovery image) and continuing after an upgrade to 11.4R1.6-domestic.

Connecting to the console, deleting "system autoinstall", configuring ge-0/0/0 as DHCP client, committing, THEN re-connecting to J-web lets me access what looks like normal J-web (so far).

Should I be reporting this as a bug?
