We're trying out the latest vsrx version on our vmware setup but one of the CPU's is peaking at a 100%, without sending any traffic through this VM. Smiley Surprised

There is only one interface attached to this VM and besides the ip address, nothing has been configured.

Is this normal or is something going a little bit wrong here?

    Hello there,

What is Your "kern.hz" sysctl setting? For FreeBSD VM it is recommended to lower it to 100.

    There are several more tweaks

Did those tweaks actually work? vSRX 2.0 is based on Wind River Linux and not BSD whatsoever.

Is there a performance impact? It seems to operate in the same way the old branch devices did with a tight loop on flowd

In VMware Virtual Center, I'm also seeing one of my cores stuck at 100% even though a "show chassis routing-engine" comes back saying that the CPU is 100% idle.

Has anyone managed to fix this ?
