There still is an occasional failure when launching Network Connect from the web proxy start page using Safari. Hard to reproduce reliably though.
Looks like the crash with Firefox is universal when using any web page in Firefox that uses Java. So that piece isn't Juniper's problem.

Yes. We're using Host Checker and we're seeing this problem with Network Connect standalone client and the latest Apple Java update.

Thank you for everyone's input and help. I will update the thread when we have resolution.

Any news on this one?
The KB only refers to Java 1.6. It seems to be the same issue again..

My users are having these issues too. Macs running Lion cannot launch Network Connect from stand-alone client or web proxy page. They get an error saying "Failed to launch Network Connect". I have a test Macbook Pro and can reproduce the issue every time.
Most users are on OSX 10.7.2, Safari 5.1.2, Java 1.6.0_29-b11-402.
We are running 6.5r5 code on the Appliances. (I know, I know....we're upgrading in a few months.) We run Host Checker on both the realm and role levels (two different policies).

Update: Our issue appears to only be affecting users when they are logging in for the first time and installing Network Connect.
