Is there any indication to the client that their session is about to expire (Max length or idle even) when using Network Connect? What about Pulse on Windows xp / 7? We'd like to at least warn the user that there session is about to drop.

In SA, under roles > Session options, we can enable/disable Enable session timeout warning; its applicalable for both NC and Pulse; both will display a message when the session is reaching maximum time peroid.
Thanks,
Suresh

So I just checked our MAGs this morning for the option and I am seeing this:
Note that this only applies to expiration messages displayed by the user's browser, not by other clients (W-SAM, Network Connect).
To me this looks like it will not show a message when using Network Connect (Probably Pulse too), is that correct? If so then it appears there is no indication when using Network Connect or Pulse.

What version of NC are you running? I tested this in the lab with NC 7.1.0.19757 and did get a pop up warning when launching nc through the browser and the stand alone client.

We are running 7.1R5. To be honest, I haven't tested, but the GUI seems to indicate that timeout does not work in NC or Pulse.

Yes, I do understand your concern. I ran the test in 7.1 and the message does appear. I'll file a request to ensure the GUI states this information correctly.

Hi ,
Try testing the same in new SA version 7.2R1 released recently.
Under roles > Session options, we can enable/disable Enable session timeout warning; its applicalable for NC/ WSAM and Pulse (standalone clients, browser can be closed after NC or WSAM or Pulse launched); It display message when the session is reaching maximum time peroid.
Can you please check and I hope this is what you're looking for....
Thanks,
Suresh
