Web / NC / Pulse - How to control web portal logout behavior

[ Edited ]

I'm sure I'm staring this right in the face but just can't seem to find it.

Trying to find the setting that controls what happens when the user signs in to the web portal and then launches either Network Connect or Pulse.  One of our configurations, the one using NC, logs the user out of the web portal when it is launched.  Another configuration, using Pulse, lets the web portal stay open.

Where the heck is the setting that controls it?

Hello,

Go to the following and enable / disable : Remove Browser Session Cookie

User role > General > Session Options > Remove Browser Session Cookie

Hope the above answers your question.

Re: Web / NC / Pulse - How to control web portal logout behavior

This option will remove the session cookie from the browser after the Juniper client (ie: Pulse, VPN Tunnel, WSAM) is launched. Enabling this option makes it impossible to compromise this cookie, and thus hijack the Juniper client session, using cross-site scripting and similar techniques.

to confirm: is this on the same system or different physical units? the reference item you are looking for, per AJA, is introduced in late 7.0/7.1 systems.

No - From what I know - this feature is only from 7.2 R1  and above.

May I know if you tried my suggestion?

Is that working for you?

Re: Web / NC / Pulse - How to control web portal logout behavior

by staying open, do you mean not terminating immediately OR that you can connect to the web again without login again?
