encrypted traffic

How can you find out whether the SA has created a vpn tunnel and how can you tell whether the traffic is being encrypted?

Im running Enable Split Tunneling with allowed access to local subnet

You can run a packet capture app (i.e. Wireshark) on your ethernet adapter to confirm if data is being sent through the tunnel or directly through your ethernet adapter.  All traffic through the tunnel will be encrypted.

You can also use trace-route.  Traffic being routed via the Virtual Adapter (i.e. 10.200.200.1) will be encrypted, traffic routing via your local gateway will be sent in clear text.

what traffic are you referring to? if the icon is up showing that you are connected, the VPN tunnel is up.
