  • 1.  AV/anti spam license retrieval not working

    I'm running an SSG-5 on 5.4.0r10. When I try to retrieve my licenses, I get an error message:

     

     The device was unable to reach the entitlement server to retrieve license keys

     

     I noticed in the log that this message also occurs when I try to retrieve: 

     

     PKI: Cert is not yet valid (subject name CN=nextwave.netscreen.com,OU=Terms of use at www.verisign.com/rpa (c)05,OU=Information Technology,O=NetScreen Technologies, Inc.,).

     

     What's the deal with this?

    Check your system clock.  Is it up to date?  Do you have it configured to sync clock via NTP?  I just tried it here, and it's working fine on the same ScreenOS, so I know it's not a cert issue.
