    Posted 08-04-2009 11:30

    Hi,

I am wondering if I can apply web filtering on certain users on SSG 5 to deny access to inappropriate websites, well I have a plan to do it, But I am not sure if it Correct, Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

I will start my work by creating a security Zone on Users attached to Eth 0/3, then Apply the Integerated SurfeControl to the same ethernet port, (I am applying Integerated as I need to block websites regarding thier category), Is this all I need to do, or am I missig something.

You prompt reply is really appreciated.

    Thanks alot.

    Regards,

At a high level that will work fine. One suggestion would be to NOT use the default profile. Instead create your own profile by "cloning" the default. That way you can easily add "white-list" or "black-list" values for excluding sites you might want those users to get to, or to add some extra "bad" sites.
